PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and compact external combustion engine system improving thermal efficiency. SOLUTION: This external combustion engine system is configured as follows. In an external combustion engine 1, steam is supplied to a cylinder 2 through a steam heater section 7, thereby driving a piston 3 in the cylinder 2. A burner 9 is arranged in a boiler body 24, a steam generator 15 and the steam heater section 7 of the external combustion engine 1 are adjacently arranged in the boiler body 24 downstream of the injection port for combustion gas 10 of the burner 9, and a combustion gas distribution plate 25 is arranged between the steam generator 15 and the steam heater section 7. Thereby, the amount of combustion gas 10 supplied to the steam generator 15 and steam heater section 7 is distributively adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
