PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microswitch preventing a reduction in versatility while increasing the rigidity of a lever member. SOLUTION: The microswitch 1 includes a case 3 incorporating a switch mechanism 2, a plunger 4 transmitting the power to the switch mechanism 2, and the lever member 5 supported by the case 3 on its base end side. In the microswitch 1, the leading end of the plunger 4 abuts on a lower surface 5c of the lever member 5 at a longitudinal intermediate position of the lever member 5 and a detected object can abut on an upper surface 5d of the lever member 5 on the leading end side of the lever member 5. A first reinforcing part 5f is formed on the upper surface 5d of the lever member 5 at a position keeping away from a detected object abutment part 17 on which the detected object abuts and a second reinforcing part 5e is formed on the lower surface 5c of the lever member 5 at a position keeping away from a plunger abutment part 16 on which the leading end of the plunger 4 abuts.
