The present invention relates to a keypad for a mobile terminal, which is configured to enable a user to feel a firm touch on the buttons of the keypad so as to prevent erroneous typing when the user operates the buttons on the keypad, and which is configured to prevent a keypad surface from being deformed by a difference in contractions. The keypad for a mobile terminal has a print layer (4) for indicating characters, numerals, symbols, and the like, wherein the print layer is outwardly visible through a transparent outer cover (2). A group of buttons are arranged in the print layer (4) provided inside the outer cover (2) such that hard members (6) are placed at the respective locations of buttons. The hard members (6) are attached onto the outer cover (2) so as to form a unitary body. Outer surfaces of the hard members (6) are coated with a silicon resin (10) such that the hard members (6) are accommodated within the outer cover (2), and the user may feel a firm touch on the buttons of the keypad when the user operates the buttons on the keypad. |
