SELF-ILLUMINATING SOLDERING IRON

A self-illuminating soldering iron comprising on the one hand a grip (1) together with a soldering tip (2), and on the other hand a depositing support (3), which is adapted for depositing said grip (1) together with the soldering tip (2) prior to soldering or after that. The soldering iron further comprising a switch (15), by means of which a light source (14) is then independently with regard to operating of each electric heater (21) of the soldering tip (2) connectable with each disposable electric power supply, preferably in such a manner that on the one hand by removing the grip (1) together with the soldering tip (2) from said resting support (3) the electric circuit of each disposable light source (14) is established, while said electric circuit is interrupted whenever said grip (1) together with the soldering tip (2) is placed onto the depositing support (3).
