PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod stabilizing the attachment state of a flat reel sheet by introducing new covering means at a part at which attaching yarns are fixedly wound around an attaching end part. SOLUTION: This attaching end part 1a for loading the flat reel seat 1 is formed at the flat reel seat 1 at a predetermined position of a rod body 3 for the fishing rod. While loading the attaching end part 1a at the predetermined position, the flat reel seat 1 is attached and fixed on the surface of the attaching end part 1a by performing the winding of the attaching yarns 2 over a reinforcing sheet 4 in which fibers are arranged to cross each other and the outer circumferential surface 3A of the butt section of the rod.
