PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge which is excellent in a property of incorporating a security tag in a case. SOLUTION: A tape cartridge 10 includes: a case 12 composed of an upper case 14 and a lower case 16 and configured to house a reel 20 having a recording tape T wound thereon; a cylindrical security tag 110 held between a top plate 14A of the upper case 14 and a bottom plate 16A of the lower case 16 and communicable with the outside; and a holding part 120 formed at least at one of the top plate 14A and the bottom plate 16A and having a pressing surface 126 for pressing an edge 116 of the security tag 110 from a vertical direction and a direction orthogonal to the vertical direction.
