PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an algae-proofing agent for a coating for a building that exhibits satisfactory algae-proofing effects with a reduced used amount, inhibits generation of algae over a long period of time, exhibits satisfactory effects on algae having got resistant against a chemical reagent, and hardly exerts influences of a chemical reagent on organisms inhabiting in a water system owing to the reduced used amount. SOLUTION: The algae-proofing agent attains synergistic effects by a combined use of isouron with DCMU, exhibits high algae-proofing effects with a low dosage, gives long residual effects, hardly exerts influences on aquatic organisms, lowers an environmental load by waste water and is effective against algae less sensitive to isothiazoline compounds.
