The combination has an annular exciter unit (ET) consisting of a magnetic bearing (ML) that is effective at a gap space. Exciter elements are equipped with permanent magnets (Mg) and are connected with a side. Magnetically conductive rail parts are provided as yoke elements and are connected with another side. Reciprocal effect of the yoke elements is overlapped with normal force effect of a generator, and external forces are axially guided towards restoring forces. The restoring forces enable space limitation from a range of 1 cm of machine dimension up to more than 20 m.
