<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light-emitting device capable of performing a good quality image display by inspecting and repairing a defective part of a light-emitting element consisting of an anode, a cathode and an organic compound layer. <P>SOLUTION: This is a method of manufacturing the light-emitting device in which a light-emitting element is formed on a substrate. The light-emitting element includes the anode, the cathode, and the organic compound layer between the anode and the cathode. With the substrate at the top and the light-emitting element at the bottom, the light-emitting device makes the light-emitting element emit light by impressing a bias on the light-emitting element, thereby defective part is identified based on the light emission.
