The device (1) has an actuator (2) operatively connected with an adjustable component over a linear movable control element (4) by a gear and a spindle (3). A contact-less magnetic switching unit (5) determines position of the control element. A switching magnet (6) is attached at a spindle nut (7), and single or multiple contact-less magnetic switches (8) of the switching unit are attached on a carrier. The carrier is integrated with in a support tube (9) that surrounds the spindle in retracted condition. The magnet is arranged in whole or in part in a slot (10) of the spindle nut. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing and mounting an electrical spindle adjusting device.
