VIRAL GENE FOR OBTAINING PLANT HAVING RESISTANCE TO VIRUS BELONGING TO TENUIVIRUS BY RNA INTERFERENCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a plant having resistance to a virus belonging to Tenuivirus, and a resistant breed, which are related to practical use.

SOLUTION: There are disclosed a composition including an expression inhibitor of at least one gene existing in a viral genome of Tenuivirus and for adding resistance to a viral disease of Tenuivirus, and a method for producing a gramineous plant having resistance to a viral disease of Tenuivirus and capable of being infected with a virus of Tenuivirus, wherein the method comprises: (A) a process of providing an expression inhibitor of at least one gene existing in a viral genome of Tenuivirus; (B) a process of introducing the expression inhibitor into a cell of the plant; (C) a process of selecting a cell of the plant into which the expression inhibitor is introduced; and (D) a process of creating a transgenic plant by redifferentiating the selected cell.
