PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a connector capable of arraying terminals in a narrow pitch by avoiding to make them complicated in shape. SOLUTION: A first and a second terminal arrangement plate 51A, 51B are prepared by flatly placing a plurality of contacts 39 at a given interval 2P and arranging them like a chain through a carrier part 49. The first terminal arrangement plate 51A is pressed into the connector housing to be held. The second terminal arrangement plate 51B is pressed into the connector housing to be held so that each contact 39 of the second terminal arrangement plate 51B is positioned between contacts 39 of the first terminal arrangement plate 51A. Before the second terminal arrangement plate 51B is pressed in, the carrier part 49 of the first terminal arrangement plate 51A has been bent. The carrier parts 49, 49 of the first and the second terminal arrangement plates 51A, 51B pressed into the connector housing are cut off collectively to be removed from each terminal arrangement plate 51A, 51B.
