PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission belt and a method for installing the same allowing easy installation of the last element of a plurality of elements on a laminated ring, and improving work efficiency of installation work of the power transmission belt. SOLUTION: The elements installed on laminated rings 23 and 24 of the power transmission belt 14 is constituted by a plurality of elements 16 having an opening 27 with an opening width smaller than the ring width of the laminated rings 23 and 24 arranged in parallel, and three elements 31 having an opening 38 with an opening width larger than the opening width of the opening 27.
