PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate attaching structure and attaching method for a thin type display, excellent in design and attaching/detaching workability without exposing an attaching member to the front surface side of a glass plate. SOLUTION: As for the glass plate attaching structure, a rectangular frame 4 is erected in a stretched state at an attaching position by a height adjusting leg, a thin type display unit is fixed to the rectangular frame, a hook position-adjustable in the front and rear direction is installed forward on the rectangular frame, and a glass plate 6 whose area corresponding to the display screen of the display unit is turned to a half mirror is provided. On the rear surface side facing the display screen of the glass plate, a groove member is fixed to a position corresponding to the hook. The rear surface side of the glass plate is applied to the front surface of the rectangular frame, the hook can be engaged with each groove member in the state of sliding the glass plate downward, and the peripheral edge part on the rear surface side of the glass plate is in close contact with the front surface of the rectangular frame in an engaged state.
