摘要 <p>Disclosed is a method for producing an aluminum titanate ceramic fired body, wherein a crack in a ceramic molded body is suppressed during a degreasing step and the ceramic molded body has sufficient strength for handling at the time when transferred to a firing step, or the like. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an aluminum titanate ceramic fired body, which comprises the following steps in the following order: a molding step in which a ceramic molded body is obtained by molding a starting material mixture that contains an organic component and an inorganic component containing an aluminum source powder and a titanium source powder; a decreasing step in which the organic component contained in the ceramic molded body is removed in an atmosphere having an oxygen concentration of not more than 0.1% under such temperature conditions that the highest temperature is 700-1100°C (inclusive); and a firing step in which the ceramic molded body is fired under such temperature conditions that the highest temperature is not less than 1300°C. The heating process to 1300°C in the firing step is carried out in an atmosphere having an oxygen concentration of 1-6% (inclusive).</p>
