PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a fabricating method thereof are provided to increase the light transmittance ratio of a pixel by forming a protection film including lower dielectric material between a common electrode and a data line. CONSTITUTION: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device comprises: a gate line(2) which is formed on a first substrate; a data line(4) which crosses the gate line, allows the insulation thereof, and define a pixel region; a common line which encloses the pixel region; a TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(6) which is formed in the intersection of the gate and data lines; a common electrode(19) which includes a common electrode horizontal unit connected to the common line and a finger unit formed in finger shape and extended from the common electrode horizontal unit; and a pixel electrode which contacts the TFT. |
