1,213,970. Convertible fuel burning and electric boiler stoves. H. VIESSMANN. 18 Nov., 1968 [22 Nov., 1968], No. 56448/69. Heading F4W. A fuel fired boiler stove having a combustion chamber 3 and a water tank 4 is converted to electric heating by mounting heating elements in a flue 7, which is accessible over its whole width through a cleaning hole 6. The leads for the electric element pass through the seal 10 for the combustion gas outlet, or through a sealable opening 12 in the door for the cleaning hole. The combustion gas flue is free of baffles, and the electric elements may be encased in ceramic members fitting closely in the flues. The flue may be sealed from the combustion chamber. |
