The present description refers in particular to a computer-implemented method, computer program product and computer system for checking updates of requested data when performing a data request across a network. The computer-implemented method may comprise:
- providing a database specifying a plurality of items each of which having at least one category and additional content being assigned thereto;
- receiving a search request;
- identifying one or more tokens included in the search request;
- comparing at least one identified token with a plurality of categories defined in the database;
- mapping the at least one identified token to at least one category, if the at least one identified token matches the at least one category;
- classifying the at least one identified token as a full text search token for comparison to the additional content, if the token does not match any category; and
- determining a category search result identifying items having the at least one category assigned thereto in the database, if the identified token matches the at least one category.
