PURPOSE: A container loading and unloading method for a container ship is provided to improve loading and unloading efficiency by maintaining the same position of a container being loaded or unloaded. CONSTITUTION: A container loading and unloading method for a container ship is as follows. A plurality of air mats, which are selectively expanded and contracted and have a height corresponding to the height of a container when expanded, are expanded and laminated in a container loading point(S201). One of the expanded air mats is contracted to prepare a new container loading space every time when a new container is loaded(S203). The position of a new container loading space is always the same because the expanded air mat is contracted every time when a new container is loaded.
