PURPOSE: A method and system of power saving, a portable device using the same are provided to support the call at relatively low power consumption in a wired telephone network. CONSTITUTION: When the use of a wired telephone network is available, a portable terminal maintains a wireless communication unit and a DECT(Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication) module at a reception standby state. When a call connection request message which is based on a mobile communication network is received, the portable terminal performs the process for a call converting request(S109,S111). The mobile terminal performs the communication call connection based on the DECT module(S113).
