PURPOSE: A bidirectional digital broadcasting transmitting/receiving method and a bidirectional digital broadcasting receiver using real time feedback are provided to effectively distribute transmission resources according to the viewing rate and recording reserving rate of a user by using bidirectional broadcasting service. CONSTITUTION: A scalable coding unit(150) hierarchically encodes media data. In consideration of an operation result of an operation unit(152), a play unit(178) encodes and plays one or more layers of media data which is hierarchically encoded. The play unit adjusts at least one among the play point, play condition, and recording possibility of the received media data according to the operated result. |
