The invention relates to a method for charging photovoltaic modules, in which a photovoltaic module is introduced into a sample chamber which, during a charge time of 24 - 5000, preferably 500 - 5000 hours, has an atmosphere with properties which simulate the influences which said photovoltaic module can be subjected to during the application thereof, and which are the following under said properties: a. a temperature in the region of 50°C - 95°C, b. an average, relative atmospheric humidity of 60% - 90 % and c. an ammonia concentration of 250 - 50.000 ppm, preferably to 5000 ppm.
