IMAGE INPUT DEVICE, SORTING DEVICE, STAMPER AND METHOD OF ADJUSTING THE IMAGE INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device that can reduce time and effort required for adjusting shading correction and easily adjust an image without increasing much cost, and to provide a sorting device and a stamper.

SOLUTION: A scanner 13a (16a) sequentially reads pixel data of papers conveyed in a conveyance path by a line sensor where photoelectric conversion sensors are arranged in the main-scanning direction. Adjusting cards conveyed in the conveyance path are sequentially read by the line sensor of the scanner 13a (16a), and pixel data in the main-scanning direction for a plurality of lines read in sequence by the line sensor of the scanner 13a (16a) are averaged. On the basis of the pixel data in the main-scanning direction in which the results of the read adjusting cards are averaged, the correction quantity for shading correction for each of read pixel of the line sensor of the scanner 13a (16a) is set.
