PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation load of a valve element and facilitate setting of short intake passage length suitable for high speed operation while forming a first intake port in a funnel shape. SOLUTION: In this intake control device, the valve element is composed of a butterfly valve 25 attached to a valve shaft 24 rotatably supported by an intake manifold M, the butterfly valve 25 is disposed in such a manner that an upstream end part along intake air flow of the butterfly valve 25 continues to a half round edge part 6a of a first intake port 6 at a second change over position B, another half round edge part 6a of the first intake port 6 is formed in a partial funnel shape of which diameter expands toward a surge chamber 2, and a partial funnel shape step part 25c continuing to another half round edge part 6b of the partial funnel shape and composing an annular funnel 11 at the second change over position B is formed at a middle part along the intake air flow of the butterfly valve 25.
