<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that forms a uniform distribution state of a developer as early as possible in a developing device at start-up. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus starts pre-rotation of a developer stirring/conveying screw 51a (S1), calls a drive torque value t1 at final printing for each developing section stored in an EEPROM (electrically erasable program read only memory) 34 (S2), refers to each current torque value t2 (S3), individually compares the drive torque value t1 at final printing with the current drive torque value t2 for each developing section (S4). If t1<t2 is satisfied, the image forming apparatus continues the pre-rotation (S5). If t1≥t2 is satisfied, the image forming apparatus stores the current drive torque value t2 as the drive torque value t1 at final printing in the EEPROM 34 (S6), and immediately terminates the pre-rotation processing (S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
