Adjustable bone plate

A bone plate has at least one set of first and second members 501 and 502. The first members 501 have integral flanges 8 extending from an end and the second members 502 have recesses 59 extending from the top surface of the member to a bottom surface of the recess and shaped complimentarily to the shape of the flange so as to permit the flange to slide snugly in the recess and to be fitted into the recess either from the open end of the recess or the open top of the recess in order to attach the first member to the second member. The length of the assembled plate can be altered by loosening the locking screw 94, allowing the flange to slide within the recess, then tightening the locking screw when the correct length is established.
