PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability of a dry-stone wall without the use of a modern construction method or a modern material. SOLUTION: A rod-like reinforcing member 10 is installed between back ground 43 and a backside gap 44 between stones 41 and 41 for use in the construction of the stone wall, and interposed among back cobblestones 42, 42.... In this case, preferably, the rod-like reinforcing member 10 is formed into approximately a rod from a stone material; and its base end 11 is formed into an approximate wedge shape to be fitted into the backside gap 44 between the stones 41 and 41 by applying a stable inclination to the stone 41, and meshed with the gap 44.
