#CMT# #/CMT# The turbine has an intake port (5) for fresh air stream (11) that flows through a blade channel (1') of the turbine. A piston seal (7) is arranged between a rotor (2) and a stator (4). A release groove (8) is arranged at the rotor and is arranged in a region of a thrust balance piston (6). The release groove runs in a circumferential direction of the rotor. The release groove is arranged with respect to a blade row (12) in the blade channel. The groove has a cover that is formed by a part of the stator and is arranged in a region of the piston seal. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Steam turbine i.e. high pressure steam turbine.
