PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tool which achieves an impact mechanism by a hammer and anvil having a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The impact tool has: a hammer 151 connected to an output part of a motor through a deceleration mechanism; and an anvil 156 for rotating a tip tool. The hammer 151 has one or more pairs of protrusions 152, 153 projecting from a body part 151b to an outer side in a diameter direction or in an axial direction and a fitting part 151a formed on an axis. The anvil 156 has one or more pairs of protrusions 157, 158 projecting from the body part to the outer side in the diameter direction or in the axial direction and a fitting part to be fitted to the fitting part 151a. Striking surfaces 152a, 157a that mutually strike are arranged in the protrusions 152, 157. The anvil 156 and the hammer 151 are configured to be relatively rotatable with a maximum rotating angle of less than 360°. A motor 3 is rotated in a normal direction and a reverse direction, so that the tip tool is rotated while striking the hammer 151 and the anvil 156 bidirectionally. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
