摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it occasionally is difficult to detect a fire accident state based on an ion current in the case that plasma is left in a combustion chamber as the ion current flows owing to ions contained by the plasma, in an internal combustion engine ignited by generating the plasma. SOLUTION: In this combustion state determination method of the spark ignition internal combustion engine including an ignition plug, generating plasma by reaction of spark discharge generated by a high voltage applied via an ignition coil connected with the ignition plug and an electric field generated in the combustion chamber and igniting air-fuel mixture, change in secondary voltage secondarily generated at the ignition plug after the spark discharge in association with the spark discharge is detected, and a fire accident is determined in the case that the change in the detected secondary voltage is beyond a predetermined range.
