PURPOSE: An automatic grinding apparatus and method for small steel plates are provided to improve the uniformity of products and work efficiency through full-automation of loading, ejecting, and feeding. CONSTITUTION: An automatic grinding apparatus for small steel plates comprises a controller that is made of a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller), a grinding robot(100) that grinds a work piece, a turnover unit(200) that processes the back side of the work piece through a turnover function, a conveying pallet(500) that is installed inside a guide rail in order to temporarily stack products, a loader(400), a lifting cylinder(410) that moves right and left along the loader, a suction plate(420) that is made of an electromagnet and holds an object, and a stacking platform(600) in which a plurality of steel plates being held by the suction plate are stacked.
