<p>Provided is a sealing device which has a simple structure, a satisfactory sliding life, and a short shaft-wise length. The sealing device comprises a magnetic force generation means for generating magnetic force around a shaft, a first magnetic force transmission member which is disposed adjacent to one side of the magnetic force generation means and transmits magnetic force generated by the magnetic force generation means, a second magnetic force transmission member which is disposed adjacent to the other side of the magnetic force generation means and transmits magnetic force generated by the magnetic force generation means, a slide bushing which is disposed and fixed between the shaft and an inward protrusion of the second magnetic force transmission member, a sealing member which is placed in a sealing groove and which slides relative to the peripheral surface of the shaft, and magnetic fluid which is held between the shaft and the magnetic force transmission members by magnetic force generated by the magnetic force generation means.</p> |
