VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable speed control device of a hybrid electric vehicle suppressing temporary dissipation of drive force when the drive force of a motor is reduced to execute pre-select for switching a first gear mechanism for transmitting the drive force of the motor to a next gear change in traveling with the motor alone.

SOLUTION: When a pre-select request of the first gear mechanism G1 is made, the drive force of the motor 2 is reduced to zero once and power transmission of the first gear mechanism G1 is stopped. Then the pre-select to the next gear change is carried out. At this point, an inner clutch 22 is connected to prevent dissipation of the drive force by increasing the drive force on an engine 1 side to the torque requested by a driver in response to decrease of the drive force of the motor 2.
