PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor which contains a passage cover and bulkhead seal film to prevent a short circuit of a refrigerant containing oil from a gap between an electric motor insulator and the passage cover, and to suppress the phenomenon that an oil discharge amount is increased. SOLUTION: A bulkhead seal film 52 is mounted on an electric motor insulator 3c and brought into contact with the inside of a passage cover 51 so that a gap to be generated between the electric motor insulator 3c and the bulk head seal film 52 is eliminated to situate the bulkhead seal film 52 inside the passage cover 51. Thus, the gap is situated in a direction opposite to a flow of a refrigerant gas containing oil from the lower part.
