The method involves inlaying a cylindrical inner casing (20) at a cylindrical circumferential wall (11) of a storage container (10) that is made of steel plate or plastic, where the casing is pre-assembled and axially aligned in the container. The inner casing is inlaid in a pre-assembled fleece lining (18) and is connected and inflated with a domed neck (22) through a hole so that the fleece lining is attached at the circumferential wall by the inner casing. An annular gap between the domed neck and a dome (16) of the container is sealed, and the fleece lining is pre-assembled with end walls.
