摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode assembly capable of effectively restraining a so-called side flow wherein a gas is discharged from a zone where operating surface pressure becomes low in comparison with the other zone between a reinforced film and an electrolyte membrane without using it for power generation and being excellent on power generation performance, and a manufacturing method for a membrane-electrode assembly capable of accurately and easily forming by positioning reinforced films of both an anode side and a cathode side on the surface of the electrolyte membrane. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane-electrode assembly 4 for a fuel cell is provided with the electrolyte membrane 1, and catalyst layers 3, 2 having a flat area narrower than the electrolyte membrane 1 and coming in contact with the electrolyte membrane 1 on both side faces of the electrolyte membrane 1. The reinforced films 7B, 7A are arranged on an exposed zone of a peripheral edge which is not covered with the catalyst layers 2, 3 between both side faces of the electrolyte membrane 1, a frame-shaped reinforced film 7A is arranged on one side face of both side faces, and two opposite linear reinforced films 7B are arranged at a position corresponding to the frame-shaped reinforced film 7A on the other side face via the electrolyte membrane 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
