PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sales proceeds depositing machine capable of reducing a cost increase and a burden caused by a restriction of an installation space, by omitting a mechanism for preparing a change reserve. SOLUTION: Once change reserve information including the number of every denomination of currencies is operationally input via an operation means 29a, when an operation mode is a change reserve preparation mode, the fed currencies are identified and counted by an identification-counting unit 11, when the currencies in a storage box is detected to be taken out and when the currencies are fed into a hopper 6, the currencies in response to the number of every denomination of the currencies included in the change reserve information are rejected as the change reserve from a rejection means, out of the identified and counted currencies, and the residual currencies excepting the change reserve out of the currencies identified and counted by the identification-counting unit 11 is stored in the storage box or returned to a return container, after stored in a temporary storage unit.
