PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of reliably asking help of a partner in case of a disaster such as an earthquake. SOLUTION: The communication device includes an incoming detection unit which is connected to a line and detects an incoming from the line, a transmission unit which performs transmission to the partner, a transmission and receiving unit, a speech recognition unit which recognizes a speech input from the transmission and receiving unit, and a storage unit which stores a message. The incoming detection unit detects the incoming from the line, and the transmission unit automatically performs the transmission to the partner after the incoming ends. The transmission and receiving unit and the line are automatically connected to each other, and if the speech recognition unit does not detect a speech from the transmission and receiving unit for a prescribed time after the connection, the message stored in the storage means is automatically transmitted to the preset partner.
