The invention relates to a fan assembly for a refrigeration appliance, comprising a support element and a fan (1). The fan (1) has a frame (4) mounted on the support element, a motor and an impeller (6) which is mounted in a passage (5) of the frame (4) and rotationally driven by the motor. The support element is designed as a housing (3) enclosing the frame (4) on at last two opposite sides (12). A plurality of elastic buffer elements (17, 22) which are separated by interspaces is clamped into gaps between the sides (12) of the frame (4) and the surfaces (19) of the housing (3) opposite said sides (12).
