<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a hybrid vehicle that prevents a fuel from igniting early in an engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the controller of a hybrid vehicle which is equipped with an engine and a motor as a power source of a vehicle and equipped with a battery for supplying a power to the motor, it is determined whether the vehicle belongs to either a first traveling area (area A), in which a vehicle speed is less than a predetermined speed and the load is less than a predetermined load, or second traveling areas (areas B and C) other than the first traveling area. When it is determined that the vehicle belongs to the first traveling area, the vehicle is driven by the motor using the power of the battery while stopping the engine, and when it is determined that the vehicle belongs to the second traveling areas, the vehicle is driven by using the power of the engine. When it is determined that the vehicle belongs to the second traveling areas and a high load state is continuously detected for a predetermined time, division of the traveling area is changed to increase the first traveling area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
