PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To urge the update of electronic document data by notifying that component data used in the creation of the electronic document data have become unusable.

SOLUTION: Of the electronic document data, electronic document data containing component data used in the creation of the data and becoming unusable are retrieved. Screen information for recognizing which components have become unusable is created. A screen is displayed in accordance with the screen information to notify a user that the component data have become unusable. Furthermore, when a request to change the electronic document data is received, replacement candidates for the component data in the electronic document data that have become unusable are provided to facilitate processing for updating the electronic document data.
