PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical rotary plastic working device capable of exchanging a forming die with a comparatively simple and inexpensive configuration while preventing adverse effect due to the heat of a heating means or the like. SOLUTION: In the vertical rotary plastic working device 1 including a moving mechanism with which a workpiece on a forming die 2 is rotated, supported with a center pushing mechanism 6, plastic working is possible with rollers and the center pushing mechanism 6 is moved from a working position C in the upper part of the forming die 2 to a retracting position E where is retracted from the upper part, an opening part 30 is formed by providing a first opening part 30a corresponding to the working position C and a second opening part 30b corresponding to the retracting position E on the upper frame 42 of a pedestal so as to allow to move from the working position C to the retracting position E of the center pushing mechanism 6, in the retracting attitude where the center pushing mechanism 6 is situated in the retracting position E in the first opening part 30a is opened so that the forming die 2 is passable and the second opening part 30b is blocked and, in the working attitude where the center pushing mechanism 6 is situated in the working position C, the second opening part 30b is opened and the first opening part 30a is blocked.
