<p>A keyword extraction apparatus comprises a display unit (101) for displaying a document thereon, a display area calculation unit (104) for calculating a partial area representing the area of the document displayed on the display unit, a scrolling unit (102) for scrolling the area of the document except the partial area on the display unit, a scroll information generation unit (105) for generating scroll information including the positional information of a first display area which is the partial area displayed before the scrolling and the positional information of a second display area which is the partial area displayed after the scrolling, an extraction unit (103) for extracting keywords appearing in the document from the document, a surrounding area calculation unit (106) for calculating a surrounding area representing a partial area including the first display area and the second display area from the scroll information, a scoring unit (107) for calculating the scores of the keywords according to the area in which the keywords appear in the document, and a keyword selection screen generation unit (108) for generating a screen used for selecting at least one of the keywords out of the keywords appearing in the surrounding area in order of high score.</p> |
