The spring steel comprises tempered martensite, silicon (2.3-2.4 wt.%), carbon (0.35-0.55 wt.%), manganese (0.40-0.50 wt.%), chromium (0.10-1.50 wt.%), nickel (0.50-0.60 wt.%), molybdenum (0.05-0.50 wt.%) and vanadium (0.05-0.50 wt.%) based on the total mass of the spring steel, where the remainder is iron and hazard- elements and impurities. The tempered martensite has a number of carbides (40%) having minimum length of less than 15 nm. The spring steel has a Rockwell hardness of HRC 53-56 and has corrosion resistance of 40000 oscillation cycles after quenching and tempering.
