#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a sensor device (5) arranged at a movable component (2) or a stationary component and comprising a Hall sensor (8) with a laminar magnetic field-sensitive region (9) that is turned towards a magnetic field generating device (3). The magnetic field generating device is arranged in a magnet housing (4) and generates magnetic field with a magnetization vector (J) that encloses an acute angle with normals on the magnetic field-sensitive region. The magnetic field generating device has permanent magnets (7) whose polarities are opposite to each other. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for contact-less detection of a relative position of two components i.e. fastening rail and seat rail, in a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The magnetic field generating device generates the magnetic field with the magnetization vector that encloses the acute angle with normals on the magnetic field-sensitive region of the hall sensor, thus reducing sliding contact of the sensor device with the stationary and/or movable component, and achieving reduced sensitivity against production- and assembly tolerances of the sensor device, and hence simplifying production of the device while achieving simple and cost-effective assembly of the device. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a cross sectional view of a seat support in an overlapping condition.
