PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and inexpensive regeneratable deodorizing filter having a quick deodorizing effect and reusable over a prolonged period of time and to provide a method for regenerating the filter. SOLUTION: A condensed water membrane 2 is formed on the surface of a hygroscopic material 1, water-soluble malodorous gas 3 is dissolved in the water membrane 2 on the surface of the hygroscopic material 1 and the dissolved water-soluble malodorous gas 3, together with the water membrane 2, is washed off. The hygroscopic material 1 is preferably hygroscopic ceramics or hygroscopic fibers and is preferably formed in a honeycomb shape. |
