1315541 p - Trifluoromethylphenylimino compounds their manufacture and their use as active substances in pesticides CIBA-GEIGY AG 7 May 1970 [7 May 1969] 22122/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein X represents a hydrogen or halogen atom and Y and Z, which may be the same or different, each represents a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, or an alkoxy, alkenoxy, alkinoxy, thioalkyl, thioalkenyl or thioalkinyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms which may be substituted by an alkoxy, alkenoxy, alkinoxy, thioalkyl, thioalkenyl, thioalkinyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, substituted or unsubstituted amino, -CN, -CF 3 or -NO 2 group or by a halogen atom or Y and Z together represent sulphur. The following compounds are prepared in the examples: 3 - chloro - 4 - trifluoro - methylphenyl - iminophosgene; 3 - chloro - 4 - trifluoromethyl - phenyl - isothiocyanate; N - 3- chloro - 4 - trifluoromethyl - phenyl - N1,N1,S- trimethylisothiourea; N - 3 - chloro - 4 - trifluoromethyl - phenylimino chloroformic acid methyl ester; N - 3 - chloro - 4 - trifluoromethyl phenyl - N1,N1,O - trimethylisourea; N - 3 - chloro- 4 - trifluoromethyl - phenyl - N1, N1,O - trimethylisourea; N - 3 - chloro - 4 - trifluoromethyl-phenylimino-chloroformic acid dimethylamide; and, N - 3 - chloro - 4 - trifluoromethylphenyl-N1,Nz-dimethylquanidine. The invention also comprises a pesticidal composition which contains as an active ingredient a compound of above formula together with a carrier.
