An operating cover for a milking machine milk receiver is provided with sealing means comprising a resilient sealing ring removably attached to the cover by an integral retaining portion engaging the outer side of the cover proper. Fig. 1 shows a sealing ring 1 with a depending flange engaging the internal wall of the receiver and a portion 1c engaging the outer side of the cover 2. A similar but F-shaped ring is disclosed, the flange engaging the outside of the receiver and the retaining portion being similar to that of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows a ring secured to the cover 2 by projecting knobs 7, and again.the ring has a depending external flange. A similar construction with a flange on the cover 2 instead of on the ring, and another with the parts 7 projecting through a depending flange on the cover, are also disclosed. The second Provisional Specification refers to Specifications 757,227 and 757,228.
