PURPOSE: An apparatus for producing chlorine dioxide and a method for preparing chlorine dioxide using the same are provided to produce chlorine dioxide with high concentration and high yield by simultaneously using chemical reaction and electrolysis. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for producing chlorine dioxide generates chlorine dioxide by supplying only sodium chlorite aqueous solution to an electrolytic cell comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode. A separator is provided inside the electrolytic cell in order to guide smooth communication between ions and prevent the mixture of materials produced by electrodes. The separator has a plate shape of 1mm, whose upper part has pores and lower part is open.
