PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter mechanism endowed with dust-proof function and safety, and yet, easy to be assembled. SOLUTION: The shutter mechanism includes a blade-rest cover 1, a sliding protrusion as well as a shutter 2, a leaf spring 3, and a shutter holder 4. The shutter 2 is brought into contact with the blade-rest cover 1 to form a locking-use step, while, each sliding groove 2a notched on either side of the shutter 2 has a slanted groove part 2aa for making the shutter 2 slide downward aslant and a locking groove part for locking the sliding protrusion from up and down extended at either end of the slanted groove part 2aa. At non-insertion of the plug blades, blade insertion holes 1a of the blade-rest cover 1 and one of the shutter blade insertion holes 2d of the shutter 2 are in a closed state, and, by once inserting the plug blades into the plug blade insertion holes 1a of the blade-rest cover 1 and moving them directly downward to make them slide downward aslant, the other plug blade insertion hole 1a and the other shutter plug blade insertion hole 2d of the shutter 2 are in an inserted state, so that the shutter is deviated from a point right under the other plug blade insertion hole 1a.
